Built it with Lovable, Bolt or Cursor? Find out what's broken before your users do.
AI coding tools get you to a working app remarkably fast. But “it works” is not the same as “it's safe to launch.” I review AI-built apps for the security holes, data leaks and scaling problems these tools commonly leave behind, and give you a clear, prioritized plan to fix them.
For apps built with Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, v0, Cursor, Windsurf and similar tools.
What I Look For
The problems AI tools most often leave behind
Open database rules
Missing or misconfigured row-level security can let any signed-in user (or anyone at all) read and edit other users' data. This is the most common critical issue in AI-generated apps.
Exposed API keys & secrets
Payment, email and AI provider keys shipped in frontend code can be copied from the browser in seconds, leading to stolen data or surprise bills.
Weak authentication & access control
Admin pages protected only in the UI, endpoints that skip permission checks, and sign-up flows that let anyone escalate their role.
Performance that breaks under load
Unindexed queries, chatty data fetching and oversized bundles that feel fine with 5 test users and fall over with 500 real ones.
Code your next developer can't maintain
Duplicated logic, tangled components and no clear structure, so every new feature breaks two old ones and the AI starts going in circles.
Hosting & AI costs that scale badly
Unbounded AI calls, missing rate limits and wasteful infrastructure choices that quietly turn growth into a bigger monthly bill.

Guarantee: if the Production-Readiness Audit finds no high or critical issues, you get a full refund.
How It Works
Three simple steps, no disruption to your app
1. Share access
Send your app link plus read-only access to the code (GitHub export) and backend project. No changes are made to your live app.
2. I audit it
I review security, data access, performance, structure and costs the way I would review a vendor's codebase for an investor.
3. You get a clear plan
Ranked findings in plain English, what each one risks, and exactly what to fix first, whether you fix it yourself or hand it to my team.
Already Ran a Security Scan?
What automated scans catch, and what they miss
Built-in scanners and automated pen tests are a good baseline, so use them. They check for known vulnerability patterns. They can't judge whether your app is built to survive real users and growth.
| What gets checked | Automated scan | This audit |
|---|---|---|
| Common vulnerabilities (injection, XSS, auth bypass) | ||
| Database access rules checked against how your app actually uses data | — | |
| Architecture that will hold up as users and features grow | — | |
| Code your next developer can maintain | — | |
| Hosting and AI cost risks | — | |
| Plain-English priorities tied to your launch and business goals | — |
Reviewed by an engineering leader, not another AI
I've spent 20 years designing software platforms and leading teams of 30+ engineers, and I audit vendor codebases for founders and investors. I review your AI-built app with the same standard, and explain the results in plain business terms.
Get Your App AuditedFrequently Asked Questions
Which tools do you audit?
Apps built with Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, v0, Cursor, Windsurf and similar AI coding tools, typically on stacks such as React, Next.js, Supabase and Firebase. If your app was built with something else, get in touch and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
Do I need to be technical to understand the report?
No. Every finding is explained in plain English: what the problem is, what could happen if it isn't fixed, and how urgent it is. Technical detail is included separately for whoever does the fixing.
Will you change my app or break anything?
No. The audit is read-only. I review your code and configuration without making changes. Fixes only happen if you choose a Fix Sprint, and they're agreed in advance.
Why not just ask the AI tool to fix its own security?
AI tools are good at writing code but poor at judging their own blind spots. They often report that an issue is fixed when it isn't, or fix one problem while introducing another. An independent review by an experienced engineer catches what the tool can't see.
Lovable and other tools now include security scans. Do I still need an audit?
Use those scans; they're a useful baseline for common vulnerabilities. They aren't designed to judge whether your architecture will scale, whether your data rules match how your business works, whether the code is maintainable, or what to fix first given your launch plans. That judgment is what the audit adds.
Who does the audit?
I do it personally. I have 20 years of software architecture and engineering leadership experience, and I regularly review vendor codebases and architectures for founders and investors.
